I took my 2007 CR-V with 157,000 km to Beyond Auto on April 24th, 2025 with symptoms of air rushing sounds and a lack of power. Within 2 hours of dropping it off they called me and told me that my transmission was shot and needed to be replaced. I asked them what the air rushing sound was if my transmission was done. They did not give me an adequate response and instead told me it was a sound coming from the bearings of my right rear wheel. Not explanation or similarity to the sound I asked them to address. Having some level of mechanical knowledge I promptly paid for my "diagnosis" and took the car back from them. Upon returning home the owner sent me a video of my bearing making sound. Again, nothing close to what I had asked them to diagnose. Upon doing my own research more thoroughly and taking it to a certified Honda dealership they told me it was my catalytic converter and explained thoroughly why it made the sound, why it had lack of power, and had picture evidence of what was at fault. Having some level of mechanical knowledge I replaced the cat myself within 2 hours and the vehicle runs and shifts great. This shop is either incompetent, not using licensed or trained technicians, or worse yet are predatory in their business tactics taking advantage of people that dont have basic knowledge of mechanics. I would stay as far from this shop as you can. Save your money. Disgusting.

Absolutely awful! Unethical practices, shady, they try to just take your money!! Totally incorrect diagnosis of my car and tried to push me to fix my transmission that is 100% fine! Took my car elsewhere for a second opinion and got a correct diagnosis. These idiots could have cost me THOUSANDS of dollars to fix something that wasn't even broken! How disgusting for a business to lie like this!!

First time i saw beyond auto from the website and they had good reviews. I drove all the way from Banff to Calgary to get maintenance done. The mechanic kuya Carlo was really knowledgeable about the car and help me with the advice. The owner itself kuya Bryan was really helpful and very flexible and didn't hesitate to answer all my questions. Very recommended and reasonable price for maintaining your car.
